Brief

We sought a new visual identity that remains consistent with the existing look and, above all, with the Postbank brand, improving readability of UI elements. We also needed new product calculators, an admin refresh and more flexibility for dynamic components so our team can create new pages easily.

Problems

Navigation to products is not sufficiently convenient; the design needs to be fresher and easier to use for Postbank customers. We aimed to build a unified graphic line for all the bank's sites and microsites.

Colors

We used the palette from the bank's brand book, but introduced a few additional shades to give a modern feel while preserving the professional corporate tone the bank wants to communicate.

Font

The Akrobat font combines clear geometry that makes it readable, while also featuring small distinctive details. The wide range of weights gave us full freedom to build a dynamic content hierarchy and play with weights.

As mentioned, the site's architecture includes the full set of services and corporate content that a developed bank offers. This requires well-defined guidelines and dynamic components so our clients can freely build pages for every new communication via the admin.

To simplify the top of the site, we developed the main service areas in a separate navigation bar that displays depending on scroll direction — light at the top of the page, and inverted when scrolled to the bottom.

The two main customer groups — retail and business — imply different content and product ranges. The easiest solution is to build two separate homepages that split and serve these groups.
